Peregrine Expands East with New NYC Office in Flatiron District
San Francisco’s own Peregrine, a leading data intelligence platform, has announced the opening of its inaugural office in New York City, positioning itself in the thriving Flatiron District. This strategic move allows the company to tap into Eastern markets and access a rich talent pool in engineering and software development.
Office Space and Location
Peregrine has secured a lease for a substantial 9,505 square feet on the entire third floor of Sovereign Partners’ 104 Fifth Avenue. The asking rent for this prime office space is reported to be $90 per square foot. This marks a significant expansion for Peregrine, which currently operates solely out of its location at 71 Stevenson Street in San Francisco.
Vision Behind Expansion
Commenting on the New York venture, Nick Noone, CEO and co-founder of Peregrine, stated, “Opening our doors in New York is a lighthouse moment for Peregrine. New York is home to exceptional engineering talent, and we’re excited to tap into the city’s energy and connect world-class engineers with opportunities to build cutting-edge software that helps solve the most critical problems for the world’s most important organizations at scale.”
Employee Growth and Future Plans
With projections indicating an increase to over 350 total employees by the close of this year, Peregrine’s New York office is poised to house up to 100 staff members. The office is set to officially open its doors on April 15.
Recent Developments in the Building
The 20-story building at 104 Fifth Avenue, recently acquired by Sovereign Partners for $126.5 million in 2023, has undergone various renovations, including enhancements to its lobbies and elevators. This modernized workspace aims to provide a creative and productive environment for its tenants.
Notable Neighbors
Peregrine will join a roster of prestigious tenants in this building, which includes renowned companies such as Apple, Adobe, and Brown Harris Stevens.
Real Estate Professionals Involved
The leasing deal was facilitated by CBRE representatives Jared Isaacson, Ryan Alexander, and Jeffrey Frenkel for Peregrine, while Newmark agents David Falk, Daniel Levine, and Paige Raisides represented the landlord. While Newmark declined to provide a comment, responses from CBRE and Sovereign Partners are still pending.
